While Dan calls New Hampshire home, he spent his childhood on Oahu in the waves as much as possible, body boarding, snorkeling, and surfing on his dad’s old longboard named “Jammin’.”

A veteran of 8 years in the Army, Dan spent a couple of years in Egypt where he was able to reconnect with the ocean, learning to freedive and scuba dive in the Red Sea. He took up surfing again about 5 years ago when his wife moved to Maui and has been in the water since. Nothing gets him more pumped than sharing his love for surfing and having fun out in the waves.

When he’s not surfing or teaching, you can find Dan in the air flying small aircraft around the islands. He is currently pursuing his Flight Instructor certificate so he can also teach people how to fly.
