Maui Surf Camp Prepare For The Trip

Travel Information

2025 Travel Information

Getting to your Maui Surf Camp –  Free Airport Shuttles provided on Opening Opening Day 11am – 3pm / Closing Day: 9 – 11am. Please fly into and out of Kahului, Maui (airport code OGG). Before the camp start date, you will receive an email link to our travel form. Please complete our travel form with your airline itinerary so we can arrange your airport shuttle.

ARRIVALS

If arriving by plane, please arrive before 3pm on opening day. A staff member will be at baggage claim to pick you up. If you arrive later than 3pm there is a chance you may need to secure a ride share/taxi to bring you to camp as all staff are needed for Opening Circle.

If arriving by car, please be at Camp Olowalu by 3pm for our 4pm opening circle. (You do not NEED a car for this camp, on-island transportation is included in the cost)

Please note that if you arrive a day or more before camp start date or stay after the camp closing date, you will be in charge of your own accommodations for those nights. We can coordinate with you for a pick-up or drop-off in Kahului on Opening/Closing Days.

DEPARTURES

*If departing by plane, please schedule a departure of (ideally) 11:30am or later. On Closing Day, all airport shuttles leave camp at 9am which gets you to the airport around 9:30am at the earliest. We recommend giving yourself 2 hours before your departure in case the airport lines are long. If you want to get there with less time ahead of your flight, Maui Surfer Girls can’t be held responsible for any missed flights. If your departure is earlier than 11:30am, you will need to schedule a ride share pick-up (Uber, etc.) for yourself from Camp Olowalu.

*On closing day, the last airport drop-off time is at 11am. If you have a late departure and want to explore the island a little before you leave, we can drop you off in Kahului to rent a car or Pa’ia (10 minutes from airport) to do some shopping/dining. You will be in charge of your afternoon/evening transportation back to airport. Ride services such as Uber are typically always available.
