Our April camp aligns perfectly with the peak of the Lyrids meteor shower, offering an exceptional stargazing experience. Maui’s crystal-clear night skies and minimal light pollution create ideal viewing conditions, with the best visibility in Hawaiʻi occurring after midnight as the radiant rises higher in the sky. The Lyrids are a moderate-strength shower known for reliable activity over several nights and occasional fireballs. In 2026, a waxing crescent moon will set early, resulting in minimal lunar interference. The shower is active from April 14–30, with peak viewing expected on the night of April 21–22, 2026.
