In 2023, Maui Surfer Girls founder, Dustin Tester, launched a new non-profit organization, Mana O Maui, with a mission to provide education and empowerment programs through Hawaiian cultural education, adventure education, surf therapy, and the healing arts. Visit the website to learn more.
Lahaina Fire Update
In August 2023, a fire devastated the entire historic town of Lahaina. To read about what happened to our surf instructors and Ohana members, check out our GoFundMe here. In the image you’ll see our surf truck Falcor, which had been filled with boards before this fire.
Meet Kelly Potts
Meet Kelly Potts, our Community Outreach Director, who is so passionate about giving back to girls in our community, and now in indigenous communities of the Pacific Northwest through the nonprofit organization she created, All Are We Water Collective! Kelly has brought over fifteen years of professional longboarding and surf coaching experience to Maui Surfer Girls.
