Rick grew up immersed in art, music, and creativity, inspired by his father’s painting studio and a steady soundtrack of jazz and bossa nova. A lifelong artist and musician, he studied at the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona, where his passion for design, photography, and surf culture deepened. His travels through Chile, Australia, Indonesia, and Hawaii were driven by a love of surfing and cultural exploration. Now based on Maui, Rick blends his background in art, music, and design with a deep respect for the ocean—bringing creative energy and global perspective to every surf lesson.
